Dunecrest teachers have sought to promote the social and emotional wellbeing wherever possible. Knowing that joining a new class can be intimidating for any young child (even prior to the Covid restrictions) the team began engaging with children on Zoom well before the start of term.

Dunecrest has capped its enrolment in the 2020-21 school year in order to keep its students safe while attending to students' physical and mental well-being. This responsive community school will use its free space to carry out socially distanced physical education classes and active recesses and brain breaks.
Dunecrest American School is proud to announce a Year 2 IBDP candidate at the school, has been shortlisted for the prestigious John Locke Institute 2020 Essay competition. The student competed with almost 3,000 applicants from around the world; professors from Oxford, Cambridge, Princeton, Harvard and Chicago adjudicated the competition.
