Welcome to the Dunecrest Library!

The Dunecrest American School library serves as the central point for school media resources, both physical and digital. The library is open every day from 7:30 am to 3:30 pm for students and faculty. Our Dunecrest families are also welcome to visit the library and take advantage of the resources offered.

The Dunecrest American School library provides a range of learning opportunities for both large and small groups as well as individuals with a focus on research and the building of literacy skills. In addition to classroom visits with early childhood and elementary school students, the Dunecrest American School library also serves as a learning space for students to do independent work, group work and research topics for both school and personal interest.

Students and teachers need time alone to explore their own thoughts, make their own connections, and create their own ideas. The Dunecrest American School library is the catalyst of this learning journey with the use of creative and research space. At Dunecrest American School in our library space we ask our students what they believe in so they can know themselves in the world. We give our students the tools of rigorous and passionate intellectual inquiry and self-expression so they can grow. Every aspect of the Dunecrest American School library encourages both children and adults to become increasingly more responsible for directing their own personal and collective learning.
