How to Apply

Once you have submitted the application, please submit the following documents:

• Student’s passport copy
• Report cards of the two previous years in English (if already attending  school)
• Confidential recommendation completed and submitted by current/previous school
• Recent standardized test scores (e.g.: MAP, CAT4) (if applicable)

An electronic version of the supporting documents listed below may be uploaded directly to the application form. If you do not have them at the time of application, please email them after submission to admissions@dunecrest.ae.

Acceptable file formats include JPG, PDF and PNG files.

Upon acceptance, the following documents will be required to complete your child’s admissions file:

• Student’s birth certificate
• Residency visas - student and parents **
• Emirates ID - student and parents **
• Photos - student and parents
• Final report card (if already attending school)
• Original Leaving/Transfer certificate *

*Please note that the leaving/transfer certificate can be issued when your child exits his/her current school.

**If the residency visas and Emirates IDs are not available at the time of acceptance, these documents can be submitted once they are available and must be submitted before the beginning of the school year.

Admissions decisions are guided by the school’s mission, philosophy, and beliefs in which the central aim is to develop students who are “caring individuals, critical thinkers, and responsible world citizens.”

Dunecrest American School will consider applicants on the basis of their ability to succeed in the school’s programs and to actively contribute to the quality of school life. In all decisions a student’s social, emotional, and educational needs and potential are at the center of the admissions assessment process.

Admissions decisions follow clearly established procedures involving staff members in admissions, school leaders, counselors, and teacher specialists. In the review process the Director’s decision is final regarding all applications for admissions.

Dunecrest admits students of any race, color, or nationality and ethnic background to all the rights, privileges, programs and activities accorded to or made available to students at the school. The enrollment or re-enrollment of students requiring English language learning (ELL) and learning support services may be limited in line with program and staffing policies as defined academic requirements.
